Run by the Cloverdale Community Kitchen, the Fraser Valley Regional Food Bank has seen a lot of traffic recently....He said they supply six recovery houses. One of them, Launching Pad, in turn, supplies some smaller recovery houses. Read more
FoodMesh started a Food Recovery Program where Retailers divert 100% of their surplus daily to charities, then farmers for animal feed.
FoodMesh rolled out this program on March 11, 2020, with Fresh Street Market and the Launching Pad as its Lead charity. We are able to help people with produce, meats, dairy and other items. Since the start of this program on March 12th, we have already fed hundreds of people
Through the Healthy Community Grant Program, Peace Arch Hospital Foundation is able to help local non-profit organizations in the White Rock and South Surrey areas fund programs that support the health and wellness of our community. White Rock’s Launching Pad Addiction Rehabilitation Society is one organization that has benefited from this funding, thus increasing its offering of services available to recovering adult male alcoholics and addicts in our community.
